Summer is all about the outdoor festivities such as music festivals, weddings, patio brunches, and day parties. All these events require eye-catching outfit choices and also something flowy and more so on the cool side. Summers in SC can easily equal a 98+ degree day which means a HOT GIRL SUMMER, ok lol.
During shopping, I noticed some popular trends. So everyone knows that spring/summer is full of florals, you can walk into any store and find a rack full of floral prints. Not to mention that it is an overused staple in plus-sized fashion. The trick to florals is finding it in a stylish cut and making sure the print doesn't make you look like a couch lol.
The trends that caught my eye the most were flowy and satin/silky fabrics, stylized florals, matching sets, kimonos, and basket weaving straw bags. Of course, there are many more popular trends out there and I encourage you, as the plus-sized or curvy queen you are, to try them all!
So after I pinpointed what I was looking for I made some purchases from boohoo (online)and F21. Boohoo, a clothing company out of the UK, that offers plus size and curvy clothing as well as straight sizes. Boohoo is a trend-focused brand and what I really like about them is that Boohoo has captured a way to sell plus size clothing that looks like straight size clothing. A lot of brands provide trendy clothing selections for straight sizes but when it comes to plus-sized and curvy selections things start to get iffy.
From Boohoo I purchased the Floral Square Neck Hanky Hem Dress in a size 22. The color was labeled as rust but is more of a mustard color with rust accent colors. Also, I purchased the Off Shoulder Wrap Top in the color white and size 22 and a pair of textured oversized statement earring in gold.
From F21 I purchased a straw clutch with removable straps and a pair of gold and transparent hoop earrings.
The silky olive green pants shown paired with the white top (purchased from Boohoo) were a previous purchase from its Fashion.
